At AES we believe in practicing what we preach and helping teachers achieve in class, what they learn in each of our workshops.

Duration: 6 hours

Who: SCHOOL TEACHERS (PRE-PRIMARY, PRIMARY AND HIGH SCHOOL)

A step by step, practical approach to plan a classroom session, using various pedagogues

Workshop Outcome: After participating in this three stage workshop, the incumbents will be able to design a lesson plan. Self Reflect on the execution of the plan and derive from peer interactions, the effectiveness of their plan. Since this workshop is conducted at an early stage of the school year, teachers are encouraged to continuously incorporate all that they have learnt into their classrooms. The trainer monitors the teacher's progress and gives continuous feedback as the school year progresses.


Duration: 6 hours

Who: SCHOOL TEACHERS (PRE-PRIMARY, PRIMARY AND HIGH SCHOOL) Using pictures, media, narrations, workbooks to achieve lesson aims.

Workshop Outcome: After participating in this three stage workshop, the participants will be able to able to use all available learning and teaching recourses in the school to the fullest. They will also be able to design research and create new resources using available materials. This will drastically improve their lesson impact and penetration.

Who: SCHOOL TEACHERS (PRE-PRIMARY, PRIMARY AND HIGH SCHOOL) Language that can be effective in classrooms. Grammar teachers need to know

Workshop Outcome: After participating in this three stage workshop, Teachers will be well versed in using the right English language (more than 100 powerful phrases for various levels of interactions with all types of students in different situations) for classroom instructions. Their knowledge of grammar will be refreshed and revamped as per currently usages, phrases and sentences. The trainer uses real classroom scenario to create interactions among teachers and help them understand the use of precise and crisp language. After this workshop most teachers say “We learnt so many useful phrases”. Trainer encourages the teachers to incorporate the language they have learnt in their classrooms and continuously improvise.

Who: SCHOOL TEACHERS (PRE-PRIMARY, PRIMARY AND HIGH SCHOOL) Developing all four skills for better lesson impact and penetration (L.S.R.W.).

Workshop Outcome: The attendees will be able to cater to student challenges in the areas of Listening , Comprehending, Understanding and Responding to the teacher. The participants of this workshop will be able to train students in their class to use all four language skills namely Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. This added skill set is useful teachers of all subjects.

Who: SCHOOL TEACHERS (PRE-PRIMARY, PRIMARY AND HIGH SCHOOL) Understanding the Learner- Learning style and Learner Backgrounds to enhance lesson penetration and impact.

Workshop Outcome: After participating in this workshop, the teachers will be able to analyse the preferred style of learning in their classes on an individual basis. They will be able to tune their lesson plans to this analysis. The attendees will also be able to better judge learner backgrounds and orient their lesson plans and follow up activities towards all kinds of learners.

Who: SCHOOL TEACHERS (PRE-PRIMARY, PRIMARY AND HIGH SCHOOL) Stepping into the roles of a Mentor and Coach, to create an effective learning environment

Workshop Outcome: The participants, after this workshop, will be well equipped with practical tools to create a positive learning environment. During this workshop participants analyze various case studies of student behaviour and analyze the situation. They also reflect on what they encounter on a day to day basis in their own contexts. They share their experiences with the trainer and other attendees and get valuable inputs, insights and strategies on how to encounter situations in their classroom. The participants also rehearse the roles of being a mentor and a life coach. This is a life changing workshop for teacher of all subjects that will change their way of looking at an underperforming student.

Who: SCHOOL TEACHERS (PRE-PRIMARY, PRIMARY AND HIGH SCHOOL) Practical strategies to manage small and large classes.

Workshop Outcome: Along with teaching a subject, teachers must manage classrooms effectively to achieve maximum lesson impact. Outdated techniques such as punishments don't work anymore. During this workshop various methods of classroom management are discussed, the teachers use these methods during the workshop and understand how to integrate them into their teaching. Teachers enjoy this workshop to their fullest as each one of them have interesting anecdotes to share. Trainer talks to each teacher one on one and provides personalized training for their specific contexts.


Duration: 6 hours

Who: SCHOOL TEACHERS (PRE-PRIMARY, PRIMARY AND HIGH SCHOOL) Tutor led Teaching Practice.

Workshop Outcome: Trainer individually and as a whole class, discusses methods and practices that need to be incorporated during a school year, so that teachers may reach their curricular goals and institutional goals. After this workshop participants will be able to understand their areas of improvement through reflections they have written, feedback they have go from peers and trainer at the end of each class and each week. Trainer will mentor each teacher so that they can practice continuous and comprehensive improvised teaching during their tenure. Continuous reflection, incorporation and improvisation is the only way teachers can significantly improve and grow independently.
